Real estate investment management firm Laselle IM and property development company Citygrove have gained planning consent from the City of London to redevelop 60 London Wall.
Together with EPR Architects, Laselle will add a further 4 stories to the building to create 320 000 sq ft of prime Grade A flexible office space and 18 000 sq ft of retail space. Offices will occupy the ground floor, 10 upper floors and roof terraces will also be added.
Situated in the heart of the City of London’s banking quarter, London Wall is well connected; Moorgate station is 150 metres away and Bank station is also closeby. The location will also benefit from the Elizabeth line, currently under construction by Crossrail and due to open in 2018.
Demand for flexible office space is rising year on year due to changing working methods: the trend for co-working and co-location is proving popular, particularly with those working in the knowledge sector.
The target completion date for the 60 London Wall project is Spring 2019.
